it seems like people are falling into two categories in regards to the "bald ingo" concept art:

- "oh no he's bald it looks bad why would you do this to him"

-"like to slap his bald head reblog to slap his bald head"

and honestly, of the two, I far prefer the latter? for even though the hairline being that high does not quite feel right to me, personally, and technically, as that is only concept art and nothing actually confirmed in canon, "bald ingo" is not strictly canon, it really rubs me the wrong way that people are treating this as "oh no I can't simp for him because he's balding" for a number of reasons

first off, it just kind of makes me uncomfortable to see people simp for me. i am aware this is a Me Problem not a Them Problem. I know that they are simping for their perception of the fictional character that I formed as an introject of, not Me, Myself. doesn't make me more comfortable to see.

but also, it just makes me uncomfortable that people are deciding that a receding hairline immediately makes someone undesirable? it's just. hm. not to be controversial but people have value outside of their attractiveness just through the virtue of being a person.

ima little late to that pokesona trend from,,, a while ago-

you can call em Ronnie (they/them), Ronald if you wanna be real formal. they've got some sort of entertainment business in Nimbasa, still unsure what exactly. they have too much family and too much makeup lmao. really seems to like fighting and normal type pokemon, and dressing them up thematically

still not done with this design, but working on its been a real good stimulant! its almost done just needs a few tweaks and a few different trials to make sure it works... I still think it could use a jacket of some sort with long long sleeves!

Going for a over the top vibe for sure. Generally clowny but hints of this and that. Calling it lolita's definitely a stretch, especially because drag and gyaru are typically very revealing fashions. Either way, the poofy skirt's there and its lolita inspired if nothing else Its a look with very heavy makeup, and i know pokemon doesn't tend to depict that (until recently, thank you Masters EX).

I did try to have fun with this design instead of worrying if it looked pokemon enough or not. Tbh pokemon's character design has focused more on being over the top, so almost any design could be read as pokemon if the art style's right. That does come with the risk of Swordward and Shieldberts in canon tho, lmao

Summary: Emmet has a problem with Horizon.

Author's Note: A short and simple one based on a funny idea I had.

Horizon stared at Emmet. Emmet glared at Horizon. It was a dark, intense glare, only slightly offset by the ever-present smile on his lips. His hands were balled together in a joined fist against his chin, sitting across the kitchen table. Emmet had been in that position, glaring at Horizon, for an hour.

Horizon's stare was overtly confused, shifting his weight from foot to foot. He'd never seen Emmet like this, and the almost gloomy expression was making him increasingly feel like he had done something wrong.

"Are you...okay?" Horizon breached the silence. Emmet continued to glare.

"You are dating my brother."

"Yes?" Horizon's eyebrows bunched, and he pulled away from the other side of the table, "Are you upset about that?"

"No." Emmet's eyes narrowed, sinking further into his stance like a gargoyle. "It is good. I am verrrry happy for him." Horizon glanced towards the nearest door, considering what his options were here. He stuck his hands in his pockets, raising his shoulders in a shrug. Horizon opened his mouth to speak, but Emmet continued. "But I will always look out for his wellbeing. If you want to be his partner, you should fight for his hand." Horizon snorted, and he came back to the table. Emmet's eyes burned into him, watching him take the seat across from Emmet.

"How?" Horizon ventured.

Emmet shot up without warning, slapping his hands down on its surface, chair scraping out behind him.

"We will have a pokemon battle!" Emmet grinned. He reached into his pocket, already pulling out a pokeball that he proudly brandished. "If you win, you shall win the right to be Ingo's romantic partner!" Horizon stared at Emmet, half-curled into his chair from jumping in surprise at Emmet's sudden leap to his feet. Emmet was beaming now, the earlier darkness of his expression blasted into atoms by the passion radiating off of him like a Solar Blade. Horizon considered the challenge for a long moment, and then his furrowed brow relaxed.

"Alright. Why not." Horizon agreed. He stood up from his chair, and Emmet smiled so wide he flashed teeth. Horizon locked eyes with Emmet, meeting head-on the duel that he had been roped into. "Bring it on."
